Faulkner

The Faulkner design project began with the discovery of a vintage botanical and heron wallpaper in a soothing color palette of sepia tones, slate blues, and warm greys. This paper inspired the interior design of this newly constructed home.

We immediately knew the wallpaper would go in the kitchen and dining area, which was in the center of the home. Taking our design cues from the wallpaper, and the client’s input, this home would have a mix of coastal and traditional elements for a relaxed, comfortable, yet sophisticated interior. It was important to get everything just right to create a perfect balance between the two styles.

To achieve the design goal, we chose textures such as grasscloth, rattan, linen, velvet, brass, crystal, silver, painted woods, antiqued woods, and colors that complimented the wallpaper’s theme. And selected furnishings that were transitional and welcoming.

Upon entering the home, you immediately experience the feeling of classic Southern charm with grasscloth walls, vintage archival botanical prints, and curated decor. The foyer leads to the center of the home which showcases the dramatic wallpaper and living spaces.

The design flows seamlessly from room to room including bedrooms and bathrooms with the same attention to detail, color, and style.
